Stop by Roanoke County's booth at the Homeshow this weekend and ask questions about Roanoke County's new Green Ridge Recreation Center and Splash Valley water park. NEW Flower Garden Design Class

Learn how to draw a plan for a sun garden and a shade garden. Proper plant choices will be discussed as well as the care and requirements of each plant. You will also learn which plants are the best for areas with deer problems. Bring pencils, notebook and graph paper to class. Wildflower Hilke at Roaring Run

Join us on April 7th for an easy two mile hike led by a park ranger from the US Forest Service. This hike will point out some of the rare and eciting wildflower blossoms this time of year! Transportation included. Limited number of spaces available. Register Online Here

Camp Roanoke Open House is Fun for EVERYONE!

Join us on Saturday April 4 from 10am to 4pm at Camp Roanoke. Meet the staff, get a guided tour of camp, try the climbing wall, test out the archery range, enjoy guided arts and crafts, taste delicious refreshments, and find out if Camp Roanoke is right for your child! Friends and Family Fitness Challenge - starts March 29

Join us from 2:00-4:00pm at Garst Mill Park to kick off this exciting FREE event. Start the spring off on the right foot and get moving with FIT Ex, a community wide, physical fitness opportunity organized by Virginia Cooperative Extension. This 8-week program is designed to motivate you to be more active and to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Form a team of 6 people, family, friends or coworkers, appoint a Team Captain and set your activity goal. Walking, swimming or biking all add up to take you and your teammates across Virginia from March 29 through May 23. Move together or individually, report your progress, receive a motivational weekly newsletter and be eligible for door prizes. Team Captain can pick up team packets at the Brambleton Center. A fun and informational kickoff event is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, at Garst Mill Park, 2:00-4:00 PM.
