Day at Cave Mountain Lake - August 10
Travel with us to Cave Mountain Lake, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Natural Bridge has welcomed generations of families who enjoy the rustic beauty and peacefulness of the area. The Civilian Conservation Corps built the 7 acre lake in the 1930's using existing buttresses of natural rock to form a 35 foot high dam. The CCC also built the log picnic shelter using trees and rocks from the area. Its massive stone fireplace and rough-hewn beams evoke an atmosphere of days long past. Enjoy a relaxing day on the sandy beach, swim in the lake or enjoy one of the many easy walking trails located in the area. A special highlight of the day is a Cookout with all the fixins prepared just for you. Fee includes picnic lunch, escorts and bus transportation. Register Online Here

Enjoy the Southeast's Largest Touch-a-Truck
Come to Green Hill Park on Saturday from 10am-3pm to enjoy the Southeast's largest Touch-a-Truck event, with over 162 unique vehicles to enjoy!
This event is a community wide happening where kids and adults have the opportunity to see, touch, interact with and learn about dozens of cool vehicles. From fire trucks to motorcycles, cement trucks to police cars, UPS trucks to garbage trucks and why not airplanes as well.
How often does anyone get to look inside, sit inside and climb all over any of these unusual vehicles and get to talk to someone who operates them? And kids of all ages love these loud and unique vehicles.
Additional favorite activities will include events involving “water” such as Firemen’s Foam, misting tent, water spray and possibly even a water slide. Face painting, balloon sculptures, costumed characters, food vendors and other special attractions will help to add to the event’s appeal. Cameras will be highly recommended.
