New Playground Opens at Clearbrook Park

Visitors to Clearbrook Park will now enjoy a greatly expanded replacement playground, courtesty of Roanoke County's Capital Improvement Incentive Fund matching grant program. This project was completed this week through the efforts of the Clearbrook Elementary School PTA, and is located adjacent to athletic fields and a picnic shelter.

Parks Budget Reduction Impacts Posted

Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism is one of the many departments in the County that is being impacted by reduced revenues from the nationwide economic downturn. As a result, several service reductions will become effective July 1, 2009. Click here for more information
