Black Friday Morning - Kids Drop-off Program

Need to get some shopping done on the most popular shopping day of the year? Bring the kids to Green Ridge Recreation Center from 5:30am to 1:00pm for a fun day with swimming, structured games, crafts and activities. Cereal and juice will be provided. Pack a lunch if your child is staying until 1:00pm. Please register before November 19 by calling 777-6300. Fee: $40.

Adult Basketball League Registration Dates

Roanoke County offers basketball leagues in the following categories: Women's Open, Men's Open, Men's Church Closed and Church Open. League play begins the first week of January. Returning teams may begin register between November 21 and 27. New teams may register between November 28 and December 4. For more information call 387-6078 x0.

Green Ridge Re-Opens After Power Outage

After a short power outage this morning, electricity has been restored to Green Ridge. The facility is open as scheduled today.

Biltmore Holiday Trip - December 11

Come along for a day fit for a king on George Vanderbilt's 8,000-acre estate that will be decked out in holiday trim. We will begin the day with wine tasting and a self-guided tour of the grounds. Beginning Yoga Class - Starting on Saturday

Register for this Saturday morning yoga class at Brambleton, meeting from 9:30am to 10:30am throughout November and Decmeber. This is a gentle form of Yoga to encourage flexibility and strength in your body and confidence in yourself. This class is appropriate for new and continuing students. Bring a blanket to class. Mixed Media Art for Youth - This week

Find the artist in you! Join us for mixed media and create works of art using crayons, paint, collage, glitter and more. Students will learn which materials work well together and how to overlap the various materials they will use. Older students will focus on background, overlapping, proportion and detail. Their projects will include landscape, portrait and still life. Each class is six weeks. Class for ages 6-8 is Tuesday at 6:30pm at Brambleton Center.
