Country Store on Friday October 9th

The Senior Citizens of Roanoke County will hold their Country Store/Flea
Market on Friday, October 9 from 9 AM - 1 PM at the Brambleton
Center, 3738 Brambleton Ave. SW (across from Hardees). The public is invited to
shop from the many vendors who sell a variety of household items, baked goods,
handmade crafts, antiques, children’s items, jewelry, books and more! Free

Green Ridge Welcomes Aquatics Director

This week Green Ridge Recreation Center's new aquatics director comes on board to make preparations for the January 1st opening of Roanoke County's new 76,000 square foot facility. Tanya Pendleton comes to Roanoke County from the Town of Blacksburg where she was the Aquatics Supervisor. Over the past 12 years, Tanya has worked as an Aquatics & Program Director in California, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Virginia. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Recreation Administration and is currently working on her Masters degree from Old Dominion University. Tanya is married with 3 children, whom all love the outdoors and water just as much as she does.
