Green Ridge Admission & Pre-Sale Announced

Memberships to Green Ridge Recreation Center will go on sale Monday, August 3rd. Membership plans are still being developed, but will be released within the next month. Daily admission rates to the indoor center and Splash Valley water park have been released and posted on the Green Ridge Recreation Center website. Trip to Green Bank West Virginia

Sign up NOW to take part in an exciting trip to see the world's largest steerable radio telescope and much more! Trip is July 29th. Scientists from around the world use the telescope to study virtually all types of astronomical objects at this amazing technological creation. The Green Bank Science Center features fascinating hands on displays & exhibits. Lunch is included at the facility. After departing the Observatory, you will visit Hillsboro, West Virginia to the restored birthplace of Pearl S. Buck, the Pulitzer Prize winning author who wrote, The Good Earth. Today the birthplace is a wonderful house museum of 1892 where your guide will lead you through period rooms containing some of the original furniture & memorabilia of Pearl Buck. Family Pasta Night - Next Friday

Why go out to dinner, when you can come to Foodies and make your own creations? We'll provide the fresh pasta dough for you to make 1 pound of pasta and choice of 3 sauces. You'll work as a team to roll and cut your own pasta before we cook it to perfection. You'll top your own creation and enjoy the dinner you made together as a family. Oil Painting and Drawing Classes - Wednesdays

Regionally known artist Michael Farrar will teach several excting classes on Wednesdays beginning June 24th. Oil Painting will cover surface preparation, palette layout, materials, color and hsading. Drawing will look at painting on any media using shapes, lighting, color, conposition and more.
