No Fireworks At Green Hill Park

In recent years, The Freedom Center church has presented July 4th fireworks at Green Hill Park. The church has decided not to have a fireworks display this year. There are several alternative fireworks shows throughout the area including displays visible at Vinyard Park in Vinton and River's Edge Sports Complex in the City of Roanoke. Zumba Classes Now Beginning

It's Hot! It's Latin! It's Zumba (pronounced ZOOM-buh)! Zumba is a style of intense dance-aerobics workout with pulsating Latin music. Get lost in the music and dancing while making exercise fun. This class focuses on dance steps and ab work while dancing! Exercise experts say Zumba can offer a good cardio workout. Ten week program with classes at Brambleton and Green Ridge Recreation Center. We're excited to have 5 sessions starting within the next two weeks!

Watercolor Classes Start Wed. July 7

Learn to paint improve your watercolor painting skills! Techniques covered in this class include wet paint on dry paper, wet into wet, lost edges, color glazing, color mixing, palette layout and different brush techniques. Sound composition in both still lifes and landscapes will also be covered. Participant must have some prior watercolor experience. Six week program. Register Online Here
