Join us on our trip to wild and wonderful West Virginia! The Adventure Trek is an extreme experience not to be missed. Campers will begin their trip at Camp Roanoke going through the low and high challenge course as well as climbing the alpine tower. They will then journey to West Virginia where they will experience tent style living, white water rafting, rock climbing, hiking and environmental education in the beautiful and historic New River Gorge. This camp is too awesome to miss, so sign-up today! Space is limited to only 10 campers. Tuition includes all meals, camping fees, transportation and equipment. Tuition after April 12: $515. Character Academy at Camp Roanoke Filling Fast

As reported this week on WDBJ7, Roanoke County's department of Fire and Rescue has expanded it's Character Academy program to a two day stay at Camp Roanoke! Rising 5th-7th graders can stay overnight and enjoy the traditional camp experience while interacting with fire and rescue personnel. The camp is only $30 and includes all the meals for the two days. Clay College at Brambleton this Saturday

The Blue Ridge Potters Guild and the Brambleton Center present 'Clay College'. See demonstrations such as throwing, trimming, decorating, tool making, learn 'hands on' how to make a Chinese glaze brush. Highwater Clay will have a station for you to test Amaco glazes on your own test tiles and receive samples of their clays and will also have books, tools and other pottery supplies. The Kiln Doctor will be there to teach kiln safety and use. He can answer all your kiln questions and will have pottery & kiln supplies available. There will be 7 or more classes going on during the afternoon. You pick the classes that interest you. Green Ridge Activity Room is NOW OPEN!

We're excited to let you know that the "Activity Room" at Green Ridge is now open for our members and daily admission guests! This unique area behind the front desk houses a wide variety of interactive gaming equipment designed to keep you moving and fit. Members and paying guests ages 3 and up can use the activity room during the times listed below. Children ages 3-8 must be supervised by an adult. Playtime is limited to 20 minutes if there is a wait list. The room features the following equipment:

Blue Fit - Step on the right arrows and exercise just like Dance Dance Revolution, but with the opportunity for more players to become involved.

Trazer- Snap on a wireless motion sensor to your body and enjoy games and workouts in front of a large TV screen, unconstrained by chords, wires or machines.

Gamercise Steppers - Tone your muscles on a stair step machine while playing interactive video games. You've got to keep moving to keep playing!

Wii - If you don't have your own Nintendo Wii at home, feel free to use ours! It's a great way to work out while playing fun games with your friends.

Balance Board - Improve your balance while enjoying games like snowboarding and skateboarding.

Makoto Sports Arena - A motion sensitive space between three towers that allows users to practice sports like kickboxing, or play physical games that are a cross between "whack-a-mole" and "simon".

Light Space Play Floor (COMING SOON) - An interactive 10 ft. square surface with pressure sensitive lights to create single or multi-player games.
