Lose Big Weight Loss Class Starts Monday

What a perfect opportunity to commit to that New Year's resolution to loose weight and get in shape. Each class will start with a weigh in, a 30 to 45 minute workout and a question and answer session on working out and healthy eating. You are encouraged to keep a workout and food log to bring to class each week. It is much easier to make changes with the support and encouragement of you group. Each participant is also encouraged to get medical clearance from a doctor before starting the program. Register online here.

Green Ridge Tours and Events

Green Ridge Recreation Center will open a sales office on site at 7415 Wood Haven Rd. beginning in December. To schedule a tour, please call (540) 387-6078 ext. 0.

Mark your calendars for December 7 for the annual Roanoke County Christmas Tree lighting now permanently at Green Ridge. There will be carols from After School for Kids and light refreshments starting at 6:00pm. Join us again on January 1 as we kick off the center's opening with a FREE OPEN HOUSE. Mountain Biking Trip This Saturday!

Spend the day with Camp Roanoke mountain biking single track trails. This program is geared towards the beginner and intermediate biker and those wishing to refine skills and safety. The half-day long event will include lessons in proper riding techniques and safety, followed with an afternoon of riding the numerous trails the park has to offer. Bring a bag lunch and a water bottle, camp will provide snacks. All participants must know how to ride a bike. Bikes and helmets are provided, however, you may bring your own bike and helmet if you have them. Space is limited to 8 participants. Register Online Here.
