Join the area's largest New Year's celebration in downtown Vinton. This year, "Travel Through Time" and enjoy fantastic activities and entertainment for all ages in an alcohol free, family friendly environment. There will be special games, music, parades, food, live entertainment and fireworks at midnight. Purchase your buttons in advance and save $2 per person. Winter 2010 Program Guide Posted

Our Winter 2010 lineup has been released! The magazine containing the latest Roanoke County recreation programs is now available online. REConnection Magazine will arrive in mailboxes the last week of December and will feature more programs than EVER before at both the Brambleton Center and the new Green Ridge Recreation Center. Program registration will begin January 2nd online for County residents, January 4th by phone for County residents and January 7 for non-County residents.

Indoor Soccer Program Comes to Green Ridge

Valley AFC Soccer Club is now offering an indoor soccer program at Green Ridge Recreation Center! Game times will be Wednesday evenings, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings. Registration is now open for this brand new league! Visit the Valley AFC website for more information.

Christmas Tree Lighting Tonight!

Join us at 6:00pm at Green Ridge Recreation Center to light Roanoke County's 25 foot Christmas Tree. There will be carols by After School For Kids participants and a special visitor from the North Pole! Green Ridge is located at 7415 Wood Haven Road. From I-581 take exit 2N onto Peters Creek Rd. Turn left at the light and travel 0.7 miles down Valley Poite Parkway to the center.
