Blue Ridge Dinner Theater Trip - Aug 7

The Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre at Ferrum College is celebrating 30 years of wonderful entertainment. To commemorate this special occasion, Lets Celebrate, takes a trip down memory lane re-creating some of the favorite scenes and songs from the theatre's past. The Friday evening production is held in the Panther's Den in Franklin Hall where you will be served a multi-course sit down dinner and in between the courses you will be entertained by a wonderful ensemble of actors. Fee includes dinner and show ticket, transportation and escort. The bus departs Hollins Library at 4:30 PM and returns at 10:00 PM; departs Brambleton Center at 5:00 PM and returns at 9:30 PM. Touch-a-Truck at Green Hill Saturday

Join us from 10am-4pm this Saturday at Roanoke County's Green Hill Park for Touch a Truck, Wheels, Wings and Water. This event is a community wide happening where kids and adults have the opportunity to see, touch, interact with and learn about dozens of cool vehicles. From fire trucks to motorcycles, cement trucks to police cars, UPS trucks to garbage trucks and why not airplanes as well. How often does anyone get to look inside, sit inside and climb all over any of these unusual vehicles and get to talk to someone who operates them? And kids of all ages love these loud and unique vehicles. Additional favorite activities will include events involving “water” such as Firemen’s Foam, misting tent, water spray and possibly even a water slide. Face painting, balloon sculptures, costumed characters, food vendors and other special attractions will help to add to the event’s appeal. Cameras will be highly recommended.
