Hoop Hole Loop Hike - September 17

Hike the 4 mile lower loop trail for beautiful views of streams cascading over rocks and swimming holes. The trail is rugged and has several creek crossings. Good footwear and hiking poles or sticks are recommended. Hike is rated moderately strenuous. Bring a bag lunch and water. Fee includes transportation and tour guide. Van leaves Brambleton Center at 9:00 am and returns at 2:00 pm. Register Online Here.

Dog Training - Begins September 16

New to our program lineup this Fall are dog agility and dog obedience classes!

Beginning Dog Agility
This class is an introduction to the fun sport of dog agility. Dogs and handlers are introduced to the techniques and equipment used in agility. Both learn to work as a team to accomplish going through tunnels, jumping through hoops and using various pieces of agility equipment. Dogs entering this class should be at least one year old, and know how to perform the behaviors of 'Sit' and 'Down'. Six week program. Register Online Here

Dog Obedience
This class covers basic obedience skills including leash walking, come when called,sit, down, stay, wait, etc. It also includes beginning distraction training to help owners learn to get these behaviors in a public settings. Owners will learn to communicate clearly with their dogs to facilitate learning, develop the mechanics of training, and develop a relationship with their dog that will enhance training by increasing the dogs' desire to learn. Six week program.

Mountain Biking - September 12

Spend the day with Camp Roanoke at Carvins Cove mountain biking single track trails. This program is geared towards the beginner and intermediate biker and those wishing to refine skills and safety. The half-day long event will include lessons in proper riding techniques and safety, followed with an afternoon of riding the numerous trails the park has to offer. Bring a bag lunch and a water bottle, camp will provide snacks. All participants must know how to ride a bike. Bikes and helmets are provided, however, you may bring your own bike and helmet if you have them. Space is limited to 10 participants. Register Online Here
