Clay College - Pottery Workshop Saturday 2/27

The Blue Ridge Potters Guild and the Brambleton Center present 'Clay College'. See demonstrations such as throwing, trimming, decorating, tool making, learn 'hands on' how to make a Chinese glaze brush. Highwater Clay will have a station for you to test Amaco glazes on your own test tiles and receive samples of their clays and will also have books, tools and other pottery supplies. The Kiln Doctor will be there to teach kiln safety and use. He can answer all your kiln questions and will have pottery & kiln supplies available. There will be 7 or more classes going on during the afternoon. You pick the classes that interest you. The program is Saturday February 27 from Noon to 5:00pm at Brambleton Center. $15 for the public, $10 for Blue Ridge Potters Guild members and $5 for students with ID. Swimming Lessons Added Starting Next Week!!

Due to popular demand, we've added a new session of swimming lessons at Green Ridge Recreation Center for every age group to our program lineup. Most of these classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays for a four week period beginning February 23rd. Click on the links below to register online NOW!

Baby Drops, 6-18 months
Tiny Bubbles, 19-46 months
Lil Splashes, 3-4 years
Big Ripples, 4-5 years
Tidal Waves, 4-5 years with independent swimming
Level 1, 5-12 years no experience
Level 2, 5-12 years some experience
Level 3, 5-12 years who can float
Level 4, 5-12 years who can crawl and backstroke

Youth Tennis at Green Ridge Starts Friday

There are only 5 spaces left on our new indoor tennis class for youth at Green Ridge Recreation Center. Lern to play indoors with little or no previous experience. Three New Aquatics Classes Start Next Week

Beginning Tuesday, February 23 new sessions of several aquatics programs begin at Green Ridge Recreation center. Sign up now for Stroke Refinement, Adult Swim Lessons, or Water Safety Instructor Training.
